About me

I have been teaching high school math for 10 years in Irvine, CA. For the past three years I have served as the district high school math specialist. This year I will teach one class – Enhanced Math II – in addition to my full-time assignment as High School Math TOSA.

I earned my BS in Mathematical Sciences, with an emphasis in Mathematics for High School Teaching, from UC Santa Barbara. I completed my single subject teaching credential at UC Irvine. I will earn my MAED in Educational Administration from Concordia  University of Irvine in December 2016.

My professional interests include standards-based grading, high impact professional learning for teachers, problem based learning, and making connections across subject areas.

My first loves are my family: my husband Keith, my daughters Maddie (3) and Claire (7 mo). I am amazed by my girls every day! They are intelligent, caring, beautiful, strong-willed, curious, frustrating, kind, amazing human beings.
